Results are preliminary and were last updated March 5, 2005. Results are listed several different ways and participants should check all applicable lists if they cannot find their results. The Terry Turner Founders Cup Awards are presented annually to the first male and female New Orleans Track Club member finishers of the Mardi Gras Marathon. The award is named in honor of the late Terry Turner, a founding member and the first President of the New Orleans Track Club. This year's recipients are Meyer Friedman and Fillis Friedman.
Overall place listings are by "Gun Time" (called "Finish" or "Race Time" in the results listings) which is the time elapsed between the official race start and the runners' scoring chips crossing the finish line. "Net Time" is listed for personal information only. "Net Time" is the time elapsed between the runners' scoring chips crossing the start line and crossing the finish line. Note that races that require qualifying times (The Boston Marathon, for example) allow use of your net time for qualifying.
If you picked up a scoring chip and did not return it please pack it in a padded envelope and mail it to: New Orleans Track Club, PO Box 52003, New Orleans, LA 70152-2003.
Division awards scoring is determined by "Gun Time" as per USATF Rule #136 Section 4 Long Distance and Road Events. Awards not picked up will be mailed (please allow 3-4 weeks, longer if out of country).
